Jill George to Practice/Test at Daytona International Speedway

Wednesday, December 16, 2009
This upcoming weekend, December 18-20, will find Jill George at the Daytona International Speedway practicing and testing an ARCA car for Andy Hillenburg Motorsports. Jill will also attempt to get her ARCA license for the 2010 season which will allow her to compete in ARCA events throughout the summer. "I was thrilled when Andy Hillenburg called and asked me to come to test and practice at Daytona. This is a great opportunity for me to continue to further my racing career and the experience and exposure will be invaluable as we move forward. I want to thank Andy for giving me this opportunity and I am hopeful to make the most of it, run some good laps and get my ARCA license. Then, we will see what comes of that."

Sponsorship interest is at an all time high in terms of supporting Jill and her racing, and even though nothing has been finalized at this time, MPM Motorsports Marketing of Lexington, South Carolina, has many leads and interested companies who are considering supporting Jill for the ARCA race at Daytona on February 6th. At this time, running all or part of the ARCA series is possible, depending on sponsorship. Current plans call for trying to make the Februrary 6th debut in the ARCA race while running a full dirt schedule in 2010. None of the details are finalized as yet, but it is possible that Jill will make an attempt to run for rookie-of-the-year honors in one of the major dirt touring series while also running an aggressive schedule in Iowa, on a weekly basis, and across the Midwest. After the Daytona effort is finalized, the dirt/asphalt plans will be completed as well.

Jill would like to thank all of her fans and supporters as she takes on another huge challenge in her racing career. "I hope to go to Daytona and do everything I can to put myself into a position where I am attractive to sponsors. I am anxious for the new challenge ahead of me and will do all I can to prove to everyone how serious I am about being the very best race car driver I can be. I know that there is serious work ahead, and some huge challenges, and that I need to make improvements in all aspects of racing, but I am up for that challenge and look forward to some great results."
