Wyatt Coffey wins Bandolero Bandit portion of INEX Nationals at The Bullring at Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 22, 2023) – One season ago, Wyatt Coffey was disappointed with his finish during the INEX Asphalt Nationals at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Fast forward to Saturday at the three-eighths-mile oval and Coffey had plenty to be happy about.

The 10-year-old Coffey powered to victory in the Bandolero Bandit division during the INEX Asphalt Nationals, which added to an already fantastic season that has seen him win 31 races across the United States.

“Last year at Las Vegas did not end the way I wanted it to but sometimes the fastest car doesn’t always win,” Coffey said. “This year I was determined to get back to the Bullring and bring home a win. Mike Gordon unloaded me with a fast car right off the trailer and we were able to keep that same momentum all weekend long.”

It was a perfect weekend for Coffey, who set fast time in qualifying and won his heat on Friday. He backed that up by winning the 20-lap Bandolero Bandit feature to cap an impressive weekend in Nevada.

The victory was part of a busy season for Coffey that saw him finish second in the INEX Bandolero Bandit National championship standings. His victories have come at a variety of tracks, including Charlotte Motor Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Auburndale Speedway, Florence Motor Speedway, Caraway Speedway, Wake County Speedway, Dominion Raceway and, of course, The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

“Thank you to all of my sponsors who support me and help me chase my dreams,” Coffey said. “Thank you to everyone who supports me and cheers me on. This win is special to me because it was a national event, and we are able to stay fast all weekend and bring home the win. It’s an awesome feeling to win a race at a track thousands of miles away from your home and still have the support from other families and friends there to congratulate me and be just as happy for me as my team and my family.”

In addition to his family and friends, Wyatt Coffey would like to thank Team Gordon Racing, ArborLife Professional Tree Care, United Tire & Auto, Bradley’s Trucking, Triple R Cattle, Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Inc., R&M Automotive, Bennett’s Hometown Garage, Payne’s Enterprises Inc., Todd Rental, Mt. View Auto Sales, Checkered Flag Graffix and MPM Marketing for supporting his racing dreams.
