Coltman Farms Racing named title sponsor of Southern All Star Series

MAYSVILLE, Georgia (Jan. 19, 2024) -- Brett Coltman, the owner of Coltman Farms Racing, will continue to support grassroots dirt late model racing in 2024 by becoming the title sponsor of the Southern All Star Series.

The series, which will be known as the Coltman Farms Racing Southern All Star Series, will host more than 20 races throughout 2024 across Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky.

“We’ve been expanding our support of dirt late model racing across the country on a national level, but it’s important we continue our support of the regional divisions that make up the backbone of this sport,” Coltman said. “The Southern All Star Series has been around for more than 40 years and serves as one of the major steppingstones for young dirt racers hoping to become national stars.

“It’s an honor to support a series like the Southern All Star Series and I’m excited to work with Matt Wagner and Dewayne Keith to help the series grow.”

The Southern All Star Series was founded in 1983 by National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer B.J. Parker, who operated the series until 2002. The series has produced some of the United States’ top dirt late model stars, including Ronnie Johnson, Chris Madden, Clint Smith and Duayne Hommel.

Champions of the series throughout the years include Johnson, Don Hester, Jeff Purvis, Smith, Roger Best, Rex Richey, Dale McDowell, Hommel, Ivedent Lloyd Jr., Randy Weaver, Riley Hickman and 2023 series champion, Caleb Gay.

The series is currently owned by Matt Wagner and led by Series Director Dewayne Keith.

“It's an honor to have Coltman Farms as the title sponsor of the longest running super late model series in the country,” said Keith. “Brett Coltman is a great ally for the sport and will be a great asset to the Southern All Stars for the 2024 season.”

The 2024 Coltman Farms Racing Southern All Star Series season will get underway with a weekend doubleheader on Feb. 2-3 at Screven Motorsports Complex in Sylvania, Georgia. Series competitors will battle for a $3,000 top prize on Feb. 2, with the winner on Feb. 3 earning $12,000.
