Wyatt Coffey cruises to second Millbridge Speedway Micro victory of 2024

SALISBURY, N.C. (May 30, 2024) - Wyatt Coffey continued his winning ways at Millbridge Speedway on Wednesday night with his second victory of the season in the Restricted Micro class.

Piloting the No. 89 for CB Industries, Coffey started off his evening by setting the second fastest time in qualifying, which he followed by winning his heat from the pole.

His heat victory was enough to secure the second starting position for the 20-lap feature. Coffey took the lead on the opening lap and led the entire distance, which included surviving a challenge from Chase DeMarco going into Turn 3 on the final lap.

“I really just had to get a good start to be able to go in front and lead every lap,” said Coffey. “It’s pretty fun. Being able to end up here in Victory Lane is the best part.”

CB Industries owner Chad Boat praised Coffey’s ability to manage the 20-lap race and fend off DeMarco as the two battled for the race lead on the final lap.

“I’m super happy with the way Wyatt controlled the race,” Boat said. “He got a great start and was able to keep his composure and drive a great race. Looking forward to keeping this momentum rolling.”

Wyatt Coffey would like to thank CB Industries, his mom, dad, poppy, Tonya McCallister and MPM Marketing, along with his sponsors Coltman Farms Racing, Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Inc., ArborLife Professional Tree Care, United Tire & Auto, Bradley’s Trucking, Team Gordon, R&M Automotive, Bennett’s Hometown Garage, Payne’s Enterprises, Todd Rental, Mt.
