SUMMERTOWN, Tenn. (Sept. 23, 2024) – Zack Mitchell roared to his first victory since joining Coltman Farms Racing Saturday night during the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Mark Fields Memorial at Thunderhill Raceway Park.

At the wheel of the Coltman Farms Racing No. 57 Longhorn Chassis, Mitchell started eighth but was quick to work his way through the field at the third-mile dirt oval.

He soon found himself chasing leader Cameron Marlar, who was glued to the bottom of the track. Channeling the old adage ‘Go where they aren’t,’ Mitchell rocketed around Marlar on the top on the 22nd lap to take the lead.

Mitchell would go on to lead the rest of the 50-lap feature to bank a $15,000 payday for himself and Coltman Farms Racing.

The victory comes just more than a month after Mitchell joined the Coltman Farms Racing team and his second victory overall with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series this season.

“It’s awesome to win this early in our partnership with Coltman Farms Racing,” said Mitchell. “We have had speed before this, we just had a little bad luck. This is a huge confidence booster, and I hope to keep the momentum going.

“Thank you to Brett Coltman for this opportunity. To be able to drive a race car full time is a dream come true. Thank you to my crew Mike, Dwayne, Dalton, Tonya and Chris as well as everyone at Coltman Farms Racing for giving me such a great race car to drive. It’s an honor to be able to race good cars like this and an even better when you finish in Victory Lane.”

Mitchell would also like to thank his sponsors Longhorn Chassis, Bilstein Shocks, Clements Racing Engines, MPM Marketing, Socar Chemical, SRI Performance, Wiles Driveshaft, Swift Springs, K1 RaceGear, StrangeOval, VP Racing Fuel and DirtCarLift.com.
