GAFFNEY, S.C. (March 3, 2025) – Zack Mitchell delivered Coltman Farms Racing’s first victory of the 2025 season in epic fashion Sunday night at Cherokee Speedway.

Simply put, no one was better than Mitchell and the No. 57 Coltman Farms Racing team on a cool Sunday evening. Mitchell and company set the tone by going fastest in hot laps, which they followed by going fastest in qualifying despite making contact with the outside wall.

Mitchell went on to win his heat race, which gave him the outside pole for the 50-lap Ginger Owens Memorial March Madness event that kicked off the new Cherokee Chief Super Late Model Series.

The domination continued in the main event as Mitchell took the lead on the opening circuit and led the entire way to secure the $15,000 victory.

“It feels good. I’ve been coming over here for it seems like forever and never could get the job done, but man my crew, they busted their butts after I smoked the wall in qualifying,” Mitchell said. “Dwayne, my dad, Brock, everybody that pitched in, I really appreciate it.

“I’ve got to thank Brett Coltman and everyone at Coltman Farms Racing. They supply me with the best money can buy. I’ve got to thank them, MPM, Bilstein, Longhorn, Clements, everybody on this car. They do so much and once again I’ve got to thank my crew. I’ve got to thank my wife, she was here tonight, and my little boy, he was at home watching.”

Mitchell’s focus now turns to the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series season opener, which takes place next Saturday, March 8 at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee.

“This is a good way to start the year. The first win on the year. Just glad to be here,” Mitchell said.
