Carson Haislip wins at INEX Asphalt Nationals, claims 2023 INEX Semi-Pro National Championship

LAS VEGAS (Oct. 23, 2023) – Carson Haislip enjoyed the biggest day of his young racing career on Saturday when he won the Semi-Pro portion of the 2023 INEX Asphalt Nationals at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The victory, combined with a phenomenal season that also saw him win the Wake County Speedway Legend Car track championship and the INEX North Carolina State championship, also allowed him to capture the INEX Semi-Pro National Championship.

“This is definitely the biggest and best feeling I have ever had in my Legend Car career,” Haislip said. “Me and my team have worked so hard to get to where we are today. We had a rock-solid car from the time we rolled it out of the trailer to the time we put it back in the trailer. It is pretty awesome to be able to win not only the race but also the championship. I am so very blessed to be able to even compete in this race. Thank you to everyone who has made it possible for me to be here!”

It was domination from start to finish for Haislip at the three-eighths-mile Bullring. He set fast time during qualifying on Friday and backed it up by winning his heat race that same afternoon. He then dominated the 35-lap feature on Saturday, surviving several restarts to earn the biggest win of his career.

“I still can’t believe it. This is an unbelievable feeling,” Haislip said. “Major thanks to Dillon Spain, Conner Bushee and the Dillon Spain Motorsports team for the weeks of preparation and hard work to get us here. Thank you to our sponsors Gregory Development, Linda Trevor, State farmers Market Restaurant, Heintz Performance, Pavilion at Carriage Farm, Hendrick Chevrolet of Charleston, Bennett Jewett-Crippin Ain’t Easy, Brandon Gray Racing and MPM Marketing.

“Also, special thanks to all of the wonderful people that donated time and money to help make going to Vegas possible and thank you to 860 Motorsports for hauling our car to and from Vegas.”
